Summary

  • The Dimensity 6360 scored 515,537 points on the AnTuTu V11 benchmark.
  • In the Geekbench 6 CPU test, the Dimensity 6360 achieved 728 points in single-core and 1,150 points in multi-core tasks.
  • While the CPU performance is modest at best, the GPU is quite weak.

Notes

We benchmarked the Dimensity 6360 processor running on the OnePlus N6.

MediaTek announced the Dimensity 6360 chip in April 2026 as its entry-level 5G chipset and it has arrived in India with the OnePlus N6 (called the Dimensity 6360 Apex). MediaTek says it's a battery-friendly 5G processor with HyperEngine support, but under the hood, it packs the same Cortex-A76 cores and Mali-G57 MC2 GPU as the Dimensity 6300. So to find out how this chip performs, we have put the Dimensity 6360 through Geekbench, AnTuTu, 3DMark and more.

MediaTek Dimensity 6360 AnTuTu Score

AnTuTu V11 BenchmarkScore
Dimensity 6360 AnTuTu Score515,537
CPU207,491
GPU42,170
Memory121,571
UX144,305

In our testing, the Dimensity 6360 scored 515,537 points on the AnTuTu V11 benchmark. For an entry-level chipset, the overall score is decent, but the score breakdown reveals the weakness. The CPU score stands at 207,491 points while the GPU manages just 42,170 points.

Interestingly, the overall score is below the 531,619 points we achieved in our Dimensity 6300 benchmarks despite being near-identical chips.

Meanwhile, OnePlus claims an AnTuTu score of over 615,800 for the OnePlus N6, but in our real-world testing, it scored around 16% lower than the claimed figure. That said, the thermals are excellent. The temperature rose by just 2.5 degree C during the entire test and the battery dropped by only 4%.

MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Geekbench Score

Geekbench 6 BenchmarkScore
Single-Core Score728
Multi-Core Score1,150

Next, in the CPU-bound Geekbench 6 test, the Dimensity 6360 scored 728 points in single-core and 1,150 points in multi-core tasks. The single-core score is acceptable for the segment as the two Cortex-A76 cores are clocked at 2.4GHz. It can handle app launches and everyday operations without much fuss.

However, the multi-core performance is pretty weak. The six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores add very little performance, so the chip struggles to scale when multiple demanding tasks are executed. To put it simply, the Dimensity 6360 is built for light tasks and not sustained multi-threaded workloads.

MediaTek Dimensity 6360 CPU Throttling Test

CPU Throttling Test (15 Minutes)Score
Max GIPS190,563
Average GIPS185,608
Min GIPS163,121
Throttling (Higher is better)93%

In the 15-minute CPU Throttling Test, the Dimensity 6360 throttled to 93% of its maximum performance, which is an outstanding result for sustained performance. The chip clocked a maximum of 190,563 GIPS and averaged 185,608 GIPS through the entire run. During our benchmark run, the two Cortex-A76 cores held their 2.4GHz peak clock throughout while the A55 cluster remained at 0.65GHz for most of the test.

Now, coming to the demanding 3DMark Wild Life Extreme Stress Test, the Dimensity 6360 posted a best loop of 381 against a lowest loop of 370, which is pretty low. It achieved a remarkable 97.1% stability as we noted in our OnePlus N6 review, but that is all. The chip is just not meant for gaming as the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU is decidedly weak.

For perspective, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 hit a best loop of 1,214 in the same test, as you can see in our Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 benchmarks. It means Qualcomm's mid-range chip delivers over 3x better graphics performance than the Dimensity 6360.

Finally, in the Speedometer 3.1 test that measures web browsing responsiveness, the Dimensity 6360 scored 6.52 points. To be frank, this is a decent result. The ageing Cortex-A76 cores paired with slower LPDDR4X memory clearly hold the chip back when it comes to heavy webpages. In day-to-day use, expect lightweight websites to load fine, but heavy pages with dynamic elements will put the strain on the Dimensity 6360.

Verdict

The Dimensity 6360 is essentially a rebadged Dimensity 6300. You get the ageing Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55 cores on a 6nm node along with LPDDR4X memory and UFS 2.2 storage. As a result, the CPU and GPU performance didn't impress me.

The Dimensity 6360 is basically an entry-level chip if you want affordable 5G connectivity with decent everyday performance. You should pick a Dimensity 6360 phone like the OnePlus N6 if battery life and stable performance are your priorities. However, make sure you temper your expectations around gaming and heavy multitasking.

Sure, the ongoing RAM crisis has significantly impacted phone prices, but I would not recommend buying a phone under under Rs 25,000 with this level of performance.
