College students aiming to dip their toes into photo editing can now redeem a year's worth of access to Adobe Photoshop completely for free. Once redeemed, users can start using the desktop version of the flagship tool at no extra cost for 12 months.
The offer can be redeemed via Adobe's official website and requires students to provide their basic contact information. This 12-month plan is valued at Rs 2,399 (including GST), or Rs 599 a month, and surprisingly doesn't require uploading a student ID.
How to Get Adobe Photoshop for Free for 1 Year
To unlock the free year, students must navigate to Adobe's official checkout portal and log in. Once done, the website asks for basic contact information and specific college credentials, including the name of the institute, date of graduation and phone number.
Once done, it's important to select UPI as the preferred payment method. The system requires a Rs 2 token transaction to authenticate the user and initiate a UPI AutoPay mandate. While the first 12 months are free of any charges, the mandate allows Adobe to bill a Rs 2,399 renewal fee the moment your first year expires.
Therefore, those who just want a free year without the commitment may cancel AutoPay as soon as the offer has been redeemed. It's a great way to ensure users won't end up with empty bank accounts in case they forget to cancel it later.
Once the above steps are complete, the page will redirect users to download the Creative Cloud application. It will then automatically log the user in and start installing Adobe Photoshop.
