Apple is now bringing Apple TV and Apple Arcade to iCloud+ subscriptions to make it more valuable in emerging markets while retaining its pricing. The move appears to be aimed at driving content growth in price-sensitive markets, including India.
Apple Adds Apple TV and Arcade to iCloud+ Plans
Rolling out gradually throughout this month, iCloud+ subscribers on every tier, from the Rs 75 per month 50 GB plan, will gain full access to Apple's premium services like Apple TV and Apple Arcade.
Additionally, in certain regions, users can also enjoy Apple Music Select. It is a new tier offering access to ad-free radio stations. Subscribers will then be given the option to upgrade to a complete Apple Music plan at a discounted rate.
This initiative widens Apple's entertainment reach, as the inclusion of Apple TV in iCloud+ now means the platform is available in 59 new countries, expanding its total reach to 170 markets. The bundle itself is headed to over 100 countries across Africa, Asia, the Middle East and the Caribbean, including India.
That said, we checked the availability of this bundle in India, and it appears that it's yet to roll out fully. Considering it's rolling out, we expected it to show up on our account at any moment now.
For those unaware, Apple TV is home to over 180 shows, including Apple Originals, whereas Arcade can be used to play over 200 premium console-quality games at no extra cost.
Together, these make iCloud+ an excellent acquisition for those planning to get the subscription. Not to mention, the subscription also offers cloud storage starting from 50 GB to store Photos and back up Apple devices.
