Apple has expanded its AppleCare+ program in India, introducing a new Theft and Loss plan for iPhone users along with more flexible subscription options. The update marks the first time Indian customers can access coverage for stolen or lost devices under AppleCare+, a service previously limited to accidental damage protection.
AppleCare+ Theft and Loss plan allows multiple incidents yearly
The new AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss plan allows up to two incidents of theft or loss per year, provided the user has Find My enabled on their iPhone at the time of the incident and throughout the claim process. Apple says customers will also continue to receive unlimited accidental-damage repairs, battery service and 24/7 priority technical support through its stores and authorised service providers.

Apple is also offering monthly and annual subscription plans for the first time in India, making coverage more accessible for users who prefer short-term protection over long-term commitments. The monthly pricing for the new iPhone plans starts at Rs 799 and users can subscribe directly by heading over to Settings -> General -> Apple Care on their iPhones.
AppleCare gives our customers peace of mind knowing that their products are protected and supported by Apple experts. With today’s updates in India, we’re making it easier and more affordable to get trusted protection, including access to our most complete coverage for iPhone.

Additionally, Apple notes that each theft or loss claim will require a deductible and taxes may apply depending on the plan. Coverage begins immediately once the subscription is activated.
