  • iOS 26.4 could bring a smarter Apple Intelligence-powered Siri, Health app upgrades and new system features.
  • Future versions may refine Photos, AirPods pairing and expand health features across Apple devices.

Apple's future iOS roadmap may have just leaked, with newly discovered internal code revealing early references to iOS 26.4 features. Additionally, next year's iOS 27 and even iOS 28 have leaked alongside, making this quite a good early look at the upcoming updates.

iOS 26.4 could arrive in Spring 2026

Filipe Espósito over at Macworld uncovered an unreleased build of iOS 26, which offered a rare glimpse into Apple's long-term software plans. According to the leak, iOS 26.4 could arrive in spring 2026 and introduce a more advanced Apple Intelligence-powered Siri, with improved conversational abilities and deeper context awareness.

The update may also bring a redesigned Health app, paving the way for an AI-driven health assistant and a possible Health+ subscription service.

Other potential additions in iOS 26.4 include credit card AutoFill support in third-party apps, folders in Freeform for better organisation and a new sports-focused content tier within the Apple TV app. Apple is also said to be testing a stricter Apple ID validation system designed to block access from compromised or modified devices.

The leaked references also point to work already underway on iOS 27, with improvements planned for the Photos app's collections view and a smoother AirPods pairing experience. These changes suggest Apple is focusing on refinement and usability beyond the current iOS 26 cycle.

Looking even further ahead, mentions of iOS 28 hint at expanded health features across the ecosystem, including new sleep-tracking metrics for Apple Watch. Additionally, as per the leak, iOS 28 could also bring the long-rumoured Health app on macOS.

While none of these features are official, the leak offers an unusually detailed glimpse into Apple's multi-year iOS development plans. As always, Apple is expected to formally reveal its next major software updates at WWDC, with interim releases like iOS 26.4 serving as steppingstones toward bigger platform changes.
