Apple might be giving the iPhone 17 Pro a bold new look, as a leaked dummy unit reveals a full-width camera bar replacing the familiar square bump. These images come from leaker Majin Bu who took to X to post the real-life images of the dummy unit.
Earlier leaks did suggest this design shift. However, this is the first time we get to see it in action. Going by images of the iPhone 17 Pro Black colour option, the camera lenses are still located on the top-left corner in a triangle-like arrangement. However, the LED flash, microphone and LiDAR sensor are all lined up vertically on the right.

We can also see that the camera module is darker than the rest of the back panel. Although, we are not sure if and how the same treatment will be given to the other iPhone 17 Pro colours.
Besides, the new camera module design could only be limited to the "Pro" models. The iPhone 17 Air could also embrace the new design, as per leaks and reports. Nothing can be said for sure at this point.
If you ask me, the design instantly reminded me of the Poco X6 Pro. It is a breath of fresh air nevertheless as we've been seeing the same iPhone camera module for ages now. Moreover, this is just a dummy unit and the final design might be drastically different.
According to leaks, this new setup might be housing a 48 MP primary rear camera sensor, a 48 MP secondary ultra-wide as well as a 48 MP periscope telephoto with 5x optical zoom. Meanwhile, the front will be home to a 24 MP selfie shooter.
With that said, we are indeed looking forward to more iPhone 17 series details surface in the coming days. So, stay tuned.
