Earlier this month, Apple introduced its latest iPhone, the iPhone 17e, with several new upgrades, including an A19 processor, MagSafe support and better screen protection. Now, while the phone is still fresh in people's minds, we are already hearing rumours about the iPhone 19e and it could get quite the display upgrade in 2028.
iPhone 19e display details leaked
According to ZDNet Korea's latest report, the iPhone 19e is expected to feature an LTPO OLED display in 2028, bringing Apple's coveted ProMotion display tech to the budget iPhone. The iPhone 17 also gained a ProMotion display last year, and with the iPhone 19e set to join the lineup, it will be the first time Apple has used the same display across iPhone models.

While it is unclear at the moment how reliable this leak is, a ProMotion display on iPhone 19e will bring three key changes with it. First is the obvious refresh rate bump and iPhone 19e could potentially become the first budget iPhone to ditch 60 Hz for 120 Hz.
Coupled with LTPO, the phone could become a budget battery champ with intelligent efficiency. Moreover, with ProMotion coming to iPhone 19e, there is a high chance Apple will also retire the notch for Dynamic Island.
That said, as stated, it is too early to know for sure what the iPhoner 19e will actually bring. However, for fans waiting to purchase a budget iPhone in 2028, they could be in for a treat.
