Apple will unveil its first OLED touchscreen MacBook Pro models and an OLED iPad mini around October 27, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The launch will also bring an M6 14-inch MacBook Pro and an M6 iMac. It's going to be Apple’s biggest Mac refresh of the year.
M6-Powered MacBook Pros, iMac and a New iPad mini Incoming
According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the upcoming MacBooks will be significantly thinner and lighter. However, their headline feature will be the addition of OLED panels with native touchscreen capabilities.

To strengthen ecosystem cohesion, the new Pro notebooks may adopt the Dynamic Island. This information comes after it was reported that John Ternus will be more hands-on with the products as Apple's new CEO.
Alongside these improvements to the Pro machines, Apple could also iterate on its standard lineup by introducing a standard M6 14-inch MacBook Pro and an M6 iMac.
Additionally, those who thought the iPad mini was dead after iPhone Duo's arrival could be proven wrong. It appears the event will also include a new iPad mini with an OLED display and a completely overhauled speaker architecture.

The compact powerhouse could also get a repositioned front-facing camera in landscape orientation for improved video calling capabilities. While these improvements will add immensely to the user experience, these devices are expected to arrive with a significant price markup over their predecessors.
For those unaware, Apple launched the M6-powered Mac mini back in September 2026. While the upcoming MacBook Pros could bring some serious horsepower to Apple's portfolio, many are still waiting for the more affordable MacBook Air.
While Apple has yet to officially confirm its arrival or an announcement date, industry rumours point to Apple launching it sometime in March 2027, around the same time as the standard iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e.
Right now, though, all eyes are on Apple's October 13, 2026 event, where the giant may unveil its new entertainment set-top boxes, combined with a slew of devices, including doorbells, security cameras, deadbolt locks and a thermostat.

Apple is partnering with LG on these accessories, which will feature the LG logo. LG will handle distribution and support. More information about the event should be revealed as we inch closer to Apple's Welcome Home launch event, so stay tuned.
