Summary

  • Apple has reported a record $114.5 billion in revenue for the September 2026 quarter, up 12% year-on-year.
  • The company set an all-time revenue record in India, with record Mac sales and iPhone upgrades.
  • Apple expects the December 2026 quarter to be its best quarter ever, with 7–10% revenue growth.

Last month, the dates for Q4 20206 Apple earnings were confirmed and it was set to be John Ternus’ first earnings call as CEO. Now, the results are out, and the Cupertino brand posted revenue of $114.5 billion (about Rs 10.9 lakh crore) for the September 2026 quarter, its best September quarter ever.

Apple Sets All-Time Revenue Record in India

Speaking on the earnings call, Ternus said Apple set September quarter records in both developed and emerging markets, “in addition to an all-time record in India.” Apple also set a September 2026 quarter record for iPhone upgraders in the US, mainland China and India.

CFO Kevan Parekh shared more details about how Apple performed in India:

  • Mac: Mac revenue hit all-time records in India and Southeast Asia, driven by the MacBook Neo and MacBook Pro.
  • iPhone: India saw a record year for iPhone upgraders. Citing a Worldpanel survey, Parekh said the iPhone was a top-selling model in India, the US, urban China, the UK, Germany, Australia and Japan.
  • Services: Services revenue set all-time records in several emerging markets, including India and Latin America.

Ternus also highlighted the recent Apple Pay launch in India with Axis Bank, calling India “one of the biggest markets in the world.”

As for the Q4 earnings themselves, net profit rose to $30.7 billion, and earnings per share were up 14% to $2.02. Here’s how each category performed:

CategoryRevenueYear-on-Year Change
Total revenue$114.5 billion+12%
iPhone$57.6 billion+17%
Services$31.6 billion+10%
Mac$10.8 billion+24%
Wearables, Home and Accessories$8.3 billion−8%
iPad$6.2 billion−10%

The iPhone grew by 17% thanks to the iPhone 18 Pro series, even with supply constraints. The Mac grew by 24%, while Services hit an all-time high. However, the iPad and wearables declined, as Apple was up against the A16 iPad, Apple Watch SE 3 and AirPods Pro 3 launches from last year. Apple’s active installed base has also crossed 2.5 billion devices.

However, since the iPhone Duo went on sale on October 23, after the quarter ended, its sales will show up in the next quarter. Ternus called it “the most transformational iPhone since the original” and said Apple is working to get it to customers “as quickly as we can.”
