Boat has partnered with Axis Bank to launch its Wave Fortune smartwatch in India today, on June 18, 2025. This collaboration brings NFC-backed contactless payments to the smartwatch, alongside a 1.96-inch display, over 700 active modes, and more. Talking about the highlight of the device first, the smartwatch is backed by Boat Pay, thanks to the Axis Bank partnership. To do so, users of the smartwatch can tokenise their Axis Bank credit or debit cards using Tappy. They can then use the Boat Crest Pay app to make pin-free payments of up to Rs 5,000 on POS machines straight from the smartwatch.
The Boat Wave Fortune also features a 1.96-inch HD display with a resolution of 240 x 282 pixels. Additionally, this panel also flaunts a maximum brightness level of 550 nits for ease of usage in sunny outdoors. Then, there's also the mandatory wake gesture to check out notifications instantly. To customise the home screen with themes, there's a DIY Watch Face Studio.
The brand also claims that the smartwatch brings over 700 exercise modes to the table. Fitness enthusiasts can also take advantage of heart rate monitoring as well as sleep monitoring with energy and sleep scores to up their game.
