Nothing's sub-brand CMF has officially launched the CMF Clip Pro, its first open-wearable stereo (OWS) earbuds for people who want good sound without giving up on awareness. And unlike most of CMF's audio lineup so far, this one comes with a genuinely novel party trick built right into the case.

CMF Clip Pro Specifications and Features

The standout feature here is the charging case's "Smart Dial", which is a physical rotating control that lets you adjust volume, manage playback, answer calls, and pair devices without needing to unlock your phone.

Beyond the dial itself, single, double, and triple presses on the case can also be mapped to multiple actions. This includes toggling Low Latency Mode, checking Nothing AI News, or waking ChatGPT, giving the case far more functionality than a typical charging puck.

The CMF Clip Pro earbuds themselves are compact, weighing 5.92 grams each, with dimensions of 30.75 x 24.84 x 18.21mm, allowing them to sit comfortably on the ear during extended wear. The case measures 52.1 x 26.69 x 51.01mm and weighs 38.81 grams.

On the buds, gesture controls allow you to play/pause/skip music and handle calls through single, double and triple presses. Meanwhile, a press-and-hold gesture on either earbud controls volume.

For sound, the Clip Pro uses a 10.8mm dynamic driver with a TPU and LCP diaphragm, tuned with CMF's own custom profile and covering a frequency range of 20 Hz to 40,000 Hz.

It's certified for LDAC Hi-Res Wireless audio, alongside AAC and SBC codec support. It also includes one custom EQ setting plus five preset EQs, along with a Static Spatial Audio mode.

CMF has also implemented what it calls a "Malleus Algorithm", which is designed to boost bass performance and reduce treble distortion, addressing a common weak point of open-ear designs.

Calls are handled by four microphones (two mics per earbud), backed by VPU Power Call Quality and Elephant Sound AI for clearer voice pickup.

Battery life is a strong point too and the CMF Clip Pro earbuds alone hold 60mAh, good for up to 10 hours of playback or 6.5 hours of talk time. Meanwhile, the 475mAh battery in the case pushes total playback to 32.5 hours, or up to 36 hours in Long Battery Life mode.

Fast charging via USB-C delivers 4 hours of playback from just a 10-minute charge.

For connectivity, the earbuds utilise Bluetooth 5.4 with BLE and dual-device connection support. There's also Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair for quick setup.

The buds are IP54 rated for water and dust resistance, while the case carries an IPX2 rating. Through the Nothing X app, users get customisable controls, Find My Earbuds support and firmware updates.

CMF Clip Pro Price and Availability

The CMF Clip Pro is priced at $99 (approximately Rs 9,500) and is available starting today in the US, matching the price of Nothing's Ear (a) and Ear 3A buds.

It comes in Light Grey, Dark Grey and Coral colourways, each paired with a colour-matched charging case.

India availability of the CMF Clip Pro is currently under wraps.
