Summary

  • CMF has launched the Headphone Pro, and they're the firm's first over-the-ear headphones.
  • Their standout feature is 100 hours of continuous playback time and easily swappable earpads.
  • The Headphone Pro costs $99 (approximately Rs 8,500) in the US, UK and Europe, while India launch is under wraps.

Nothing's sub-brand CMF has launched the CMF Headphone Pro. It is the brand's first pair of over-the-ear headphones, catering to the budget segment. The cans come with active noise cancellation and a unique design, alongside a host of new features.

CMF Headphone Pro features LDAC and a long-lasting battery

The Headphone Pro from CMF feature a candy-like design with a pastel colour theme. It boasts swappable ear cushions, allowing users to mix and match colours to style them or replace the cushions with ease.

The Headphone Pro also gets a roller dial like the Headphone (1) to help switch between ANC and transparency modes, play or pause music or adjust volume.

Besides, the Energy Slider is a first for a headphone, and it allows users to select and adjust the bass and treble levels instantly. Lastly, there's a customisable button that can be assigned to a function using the Nothing X app.

The CMF Headphone Pro arrives with ANC capable of cancelling up to 40dB of noise. One of its selling points is the claimed 100 hours of audio playback on a single charge. Nothing also claims they get 50 hours of talk time on a single charge.

Sound-wise, they feature LDAC, which can help them play 32-bit 990Kbps lossless audio. CMF claims the Headphone Pro boasts 40mm drivers with a dual-chamber design and a precision bass duct to help boost the bass frequencies.

CMF Headphone Pro will arrive in India later this year

The CMF Headphone Pro costs $99 (approximately Rs 8,500) and is available in the UK, Europe and the US. They arrive in three colours – Dark Grey, Light Green and Light Grey, with replaceable ear cushions available for Light Green and Orange.

The brand hasn't provided a concrete launch date for the headphones in India. But co-founder of Nothing, Akis Evangelidis took to X to state that, "We are working hard to make the CMF Headphones Pro available in India by the end of the year. In the future, both global and Indian availability will be aligned."

This makes sense as we recently got to know that CMF will operate as an independent brand in India in partnership with JV and Optiemus to manufacture IoT products like the Headphone Pro in India.
