Headphone Zone has introduced a new contender in the budget audiophile space called the Headphone Zone x Juzear Defiant. The in-ear monitors are positioned to take down other popular IEMs in the sub-Rs 10,000 segment, which is considered to be a beginner-friendly segment in the category.
Headphone Zone Juzear Defiant Specifications and Features
Starting with the internals, the Defiant utilises a hybrid driver configuration designed to deliver better sound separation. The IEMs pack a 10mm driver equipped with a carbon-PU diaphragm and a large voice coil to handle deep bass. The mid and high frequencies are handled by 3 balanced armatures.

Juzear and Headphone Zone claim the IEM relies on a gold-plated PCB crossover unit, which boasts high-tolerance components. This is usually reserved for much more expensive gear. Physically, the IEM screams more premium than its price tag with transparent resin shells and CNC-milled faceplates with nickel metal accents.
- 10mm main driver (1 Dynamic + 3 Balanced)
- 32 Ohms impedance
- 20Hz to 20KHz frequency response
- 6N SPOCC + SCCW hybrid cable
- 6.1 grams weight per side
Internally, there's a triple-path damped acoustic dust system, which is used to widen the soundstage. There's a micro-perforation pressure balance system too, which prevents ear fatigue during long listening sessions.

Considering not everyone uses a dedicated DAP or external amp, Headphone Zone is offering the Juzear Defiant in two variants. Both come with a carry case and a hybrid cable, which the brand calls FLARE. It features 280 strands of 6N single crystal copper and silver-plated copper
