On paper, of course, the HMD doesn't offer mind-boggling specifications and keeps the phones super low-key. Here's a quick rundown of the key specs:

  • 114.3 × 50 × 14.3mm, 73 grams weight
  • 1.77-inch 4:5 display, 160 x 128 pixels resolution
  • Unisoc 6533G processor
  • Up to 8 MB RAM and 4 MB internal storage (expandable up to 32 GB via microSD)
  • 800mAh battery (HMD 100), 1,000mAh battery (HMD 101)
  • Micro USB, 3.5mm headphone jack, GSM 900/1800

Apart from that, both phones offer other essentials like FM Radio, text-to-speech functionality, a speaker and a microphone. However, there are no cameras here, which is understandable in the segment. In case you get a little too bored, the HMD 101 also offers that nostalgic snake game to play around with, along with an MP3 player

HMD 100 and 101 Price in India and Sale Date

The HMD 100 Grey colour is priced at Rs 949 in the country, while the Red option costs Rs 999. Meanwhile, the HMD 101 price in India has been set at Rs 1,049 for both the Grey and Blue variants.

Both phones are currently up for grabs on the official HMD India store. However, one can expect to see the phones go on sale on leading e-commerce platforms as well. From the looks of it, when talking about the best keypad phones under Rs 1,000, these could surely make the cut.
