It has been a while since we have seen an HMD-branded phone in India. It launched the Vibe 5G back in September 2025 for under Rs 10,000. Now, it is time for the phone to get a sequel as the brand has now started teasing the HMD Vibe 2 5G launch in India.
HMD Vibe 2 5G To Launch in India on May 2026
The official HMD India X account has confirmed the launch of HMD Vibe 2 5G in India on May 2026. A dedicated Flipkart microsite for the phone is also now live, confirming HMD's exclusive launch partner.

It has also been revealed to be a budget smartphone, meaning that there is a huge possibility Vibe 2 5G will launch in India for under Rs 10,000. While HMD hasn't shared any extra details about the upcoming phone, it has confirmed two of its colour variants - Titanium Black and Titanium Light.
The shared image shows off a close-up shot of the rear main camera and gives us a hint at the phone's design. It appears to feature a polycarbonate back with a glossy camera island and minimal lens protrusion. Based on leaks, it is said to feature a dual camera setup with a 50 MP main sensor and a 2 MP selfie lens.

Aside from that, the phone is expected to feature a 6.75-inch HD+ 90 Hz LCD display, the Unisoc T7200 processor, a 5,000mAh battery and 10W wired charging. HMD Vibe 2 5G could be offered with 4 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of storage.
That said, based on the leaks the HMD Vibe 2 5G do not appear all too different from the HMD Vibe 5G. This could be a good thing if the phone manages to launch for under Rs 10,000. Given the status of the current smartphone market, the Vibe 2 5G could emerge as a standout option for those looking for a clean Android experience.
