The HMD Vibe 2 has launched in India as the brand's latest affordable 5G smartphone. Priced under Rs 15,000, the phone brings a big 120 Hz display, a big 6,000mAh battery and more.

Talking about the design first, the HMD Vibe 2 5G flaunts a dual-tone design with a trendy horizontal edge-to-edge camera module at the back. Looks-wise, the phone seems to sport a more polished design at the camera module and underneath, a more gravelly texture. The phone comes with an IP64 rating as well.
The HMD Vibe 2 5G features a big 6.75-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Unisoc T8200, which brings 5G connectivity to the phone. There's also up to 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage to make use of.
On the software front, the HMD Vibe 2 5G runs on Android 16 out of the box. HMD is promising 2 years of quarterly security updates.
It also comes with Sarvam AI integrated, making it the first smartphone to do so. With this, HMD is aiming to democratise "AI for millions of Indians with multi-language support across 22 regional languages." The smartphone also comes with the Sanchar Saathi app preloaded, in partnership with MeitY.
For photos and videos, there's a 50 MP AI main rear camera with an auxiliary lens and LED flash, which can record up to 1080p @ 30 FPS videos. At the front, there's an 8 MP selfie shooter to rely on.
Fueling it all is a 6,000mAh battery with 18W charging support. As a result, the smartphone is 8.6mm thick and weighs 210 grams.
The HMD Vibe 2 5G is rich in connectivity options, offering Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, GLONASS and a USB-C 2.0 port.
HMD Vibe 2 5G Price in India and Sale Date
The HMD Vibe 2 5G price starts at Rs 10,999 for the 4 GB + 64 GB variant. Meanwhile, the 4 GB + 128 GB is priced at Rs 11,999. HMD is also offering a special launch discount, offering the variants at Rs 9,499 and Rs 10,499, respectively.
As for availability, the phone will go on sale via Flipkart from May 26, 2026, at 12:00 PM IST. HMD is also offering a free 6-month screen replacement warranty on the phone. It comes in Cosmic Lavender, Peach Pink and Nordic Blue colourways.
