HMD is preparing to expand its Vibe 2 lineup, this time with a never-before-seen "Max" moniker. The Vibe 2 Max is tipped to bundle a large screen with one of the most powerful chips in Unisoc's portfolio, all while making sure the price won't burn a hole in users' pockets.
HMD Vibe 2 Max Specifications Leaked
Renowned HMD tipster smashx_60 posted on X the design of the smartphone in three different colours alongside its specifications. Design-wise, the smartphone looks quite similar to the newly launched Vibe 2 Pro.
There are dual cameras at the rear, positioned on a rectangular camera island with an HMD logo at the bottom. The front looks relatively clean, with a hole-punch display and a chin that's as pronounced as the HMD Vibe 2 Pro.
Speaking of which, the tipster suggests the phone could sport a larger 6.78-inch IPS LCD FHD+ panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,500 nits. Optics-wise, the smartphone could arrive with a 108 MP main camera and an 8 MP secondary snapper. Selfies could be handled by a 50 MP snapper.
Under the hood, the Vibe 2 Max could be powered by the Unisoc T9100 processor clocked at 2.7 GHz. It could arrive with up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
However, the storage type isn't confirmed yet. It will be powered by a 6,000mAh battery and supported by 33W charging.
Other specifications include an IP64 rating, 5G, dual speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and Bluetooth 5.2. The phone could arrive in three colours – Black, Red and Green.
While HMD has yet to confirm the existence of Vibe 2 Max, more about the phone and its potential launch date should be unveiled soon, so stay tuned.
