HMD Vibe 5G Launched in India for Well Under Rs 10,000

HMD has launched the Vibe 5G in India, powered by the Unisoc T760 processor. Priced well under Rs 10,000, it is easily one of the cheapest 5G smartphones out there. Here's a quick look at the complete specifications of the HMD Vibe 5G, as well as its pricing and availability details.

The Vibe 5G features a 6.67-inch HD+ (720x1604 pixels) Punch Hole display that offers a 90 Hz refresh rate. This is also said to be a 2.5D curved screen and is placed on an 8.65mm thick body that weighs 190 grams. There are dual speakers as well to make binge-watching content enjoyable. 

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Unisoc T760 processor and pairs up with 4 GB of RAM (additional 4 GB VRAM as well). There's also 128 GB of internal storage to make use of, which is expandable up to 512 GB via a microSD card. 

For photography, the HMD Vibe 5G utilises a 50 MP AI main rear camera with LED flash and a secondary 2 MP depth lens. The phone also flaunts a rear notification light. At the front, there's an 8 MP selfie shooter.

On the software front, the phone runs on Android 15 right out of the box, with HMD's custom skin on top that comes with a no-bloatware promise. The brand is also promising quarterly security updates for two years. However, from the looks of it, the phone will not receive any major OS updates. 

The HMD Vibe 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery that promises to deliver up to 30 hours of talk time on 5G. There's also 18W fast charging to make use of via USB-C port and the compatible charger comes in the box. 

On the connectivity front, the entry-level 5G device sports Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and GPS. For security, there's a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock.

The new Vibe 5G is priced at Rs 8,999 for the single 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant. It is already up for purchase on the official HMD store in the Black and Purple colourways. The brand is also offering a free 1-year replacement with the device.
