Honor has been teasing the Magic V Flip 2 for quite some time now. Now, the Chinese smartphone brand has finally revealed when the next clamshell smartphone will go official in China.
The official Weibo handle of Honor has revealed that the Magic V Flip 2 will officially land in China on August 21, 2025. It will get unveiled at a dedicated launch event in Shanghai at 7:30 PM CST (or 5:00 PM IST).

Apart from the launch date announcement, the same post also contains the pre-order link of the smartphone as well as the benefits included. Interested customers can pre-book the smartphone via the official Honor Mall website for just 1 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 13).
At launch, apart from the smartphone early bird customers will receive a special Benefit Pet Gift Pack worth 448 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 5,500) for absolutely free. It includes several pet figurines, plushies, lanyards and a bracelet.

Apart from this, in a separate Weibo post Honor has also confirmed that it is collaborating with fashion designer Professor Jimmy Choo for a special edition of the flip phone. The limited edition variant will have a glitter-like pattern all over the smartphone with the "Prof. Jimmy Choo" branding on the hinge.
Additionally, the clamshell phone will be available to purchase in a Titanium Sky Gray variant and a marble-like textured Moon Shadow White and Dawn Purple variants.

Coming to the specifications, the smartphone is expected to feature a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED foldable display and a 4-inch LTPO outer edge-to-edge panel. It could draw its power from the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor and could get paired with a 5,500mAh battery. Expect the device to support 80W fast USB-C charging and 50W wireless charging.
On the inside, it will likely run MagicOS 9.0 based on Android 15. Additionally, the main camera could be a 50 MP shooter with support for OIS and Auto Focus. The overall footprint of the device is expected to be sleek and lightweight at 7 mm thickness and 190 grams of weight.
With that said, expect the smartphone to be priced around the 4,999 Chinese yuan ballpark (approximately Rs 60,000). Thankfully, we will only have to wait a few more days to get the official confirmation.
