The Honor Magic V Flip 2 is expected to launch as early as August this year. Ahead of the expected launch, fresh leaks now suggest that it could come with largest ever seen battery in a clamshell foldable.
Tipster Digital Chat Station took to Weibo to reveal this piece of information. If accurate, this could give Honor an advantage over rivals like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series and Xiaomi's Mix Flip line, whose batteries typically hover around the 4,000–4,500 mAh mark. Apart from its standout battery, the clamshell foldable could also sport either 66W or 80W fast charging.

The Magic V Flip 2 is expected to retain its predecessor's design. We also get to know that the clamshell foldable could offer a 6.8-inch FHD+ LTPO OLED internal display and a 4-inch cover screen, which shares the same specifications.
Under the hood, the latest leak suggests the presence of a Snapdragon 8 series "sub-flagship" chipset. This suggests that the foldable could miss out on the Snapdragon 8 Elite and use a processor like the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 instead.
Additionally, the camera hardware is said to include a 1/1.5-inch 50 MP rear "big bottom dual camera." It could very well retain the dual camera setup of the original Magic V Flip.
That's all for now. Nothing has been confirmed yet, so take it all with a pinch of salt. However, if these leaks are accurate, the Magic V Flip 2 could address the real-world drawbacks of current flip phones.
