Honor's next X70 series is expected to land in China later this month. Ahead of that, the key specifications of the standard X70 have surfaced online, giving us a glimpse into the smartphone.
According to leaker Panda is very bald on Weibo, the Honor X70 is expected to feature an 8,300mAh silicon carbon battery with 80W fast charging support. This will make this the second smartphone to feature an 8,000mAh battery, after the Honor Power, which launched in China a while back.
However, the device will still reportedly weigh only 193 grams and be 7.3mm thick. Additionally, the leak claims that the 512 GB variant of the smartphone will also come with wireless charging support.
Talking about the display and processor, the X70 is also reportedly getting a 6.79-inch 1.5K panel and will likely ship with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset. Available colour options include a white, blue, black and red variants.
Apart from this, a separate Weibo leak has also shared the live front and back images of the upcoming X70 smartphone. Based on that, it looks like the brand is sticking to the same design as the X60. It features a circular camera module at the top, with a dual camera setup and an LED flash.
The primary rear camera is said to be a 50 MP sensor with support for OIS. Meanwhile, the front-facing camera will likely be an 8 MP sensor.
On the software front, the leaked device is shown to run on MagicOS 9 which will be likely based on Android 15. It also has 256 GB of onboard storage, with 12 GB of RAM and the ability to virtually expand the RAM by 12 GB. An interesting thing to note is the size of the display bezels, which appear to be uniform and noticeably thin.
With that said, nothing has been made official as of yet. So, take these developments with a pinch of salt. Moreover, with the X70 series, Honor is reportedly replacing the "Pro" model with a "Max". So, expect to see the Honor X70 accompanied by the X70 Max. Since the expected launch is scheduled to happen by the end of July itself, we will learn more in the coming days.
