Huawei's Mate 80 series has been making rounds in the rumour mill for quite sometime now. Now, the brand has officially confirmed when the lineup will go official along with the design of the upcoming phones.
Mate 80 series is going official next week in China
The official Huawei Weibo account has revealed that the upcoming Mate 80 lineup will launch in China on November 25, 2025. It will include the standard Mate 80, the Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro Max and the Mate 80 RS Ultimate Design. The products will go live at a dedicated launch event scheduled to happen at 14:30 CST (or 12:00 PM IST).

Moreover, alongside the Mate 80 series, Huawei will also launch its latest folding smartphone, the Mate X7. While Huawei is yet to share more details regarding the X7, it has shared the official design of the Mate X7 Pro Max and the Mate RS Ultimate Edition.
Starting with the Mate 80 Pro Max, this is the first time Huawei has ditched the "Pro+" variant for a "Pro Max" one. It includes the familiar large circular camera deco at the back with X-MAGE branding and a quad camera setup. The back appears to be made out of glass and has a cold-carved design.

There is also a circular cutout at the back, right below the camera island. It could indicate the wireless charging coils of the smartphone. However, it is not clear at the time of writing. Colourways for the Mate 80 Pro Max include the Polar Night Black, Polar Silver, Polar Day Gold and Aurora Blue options.
As for the Mate 80 RS Ultimate Design, the smartphone features the familiar decagonal camera island with a quad camera setup and the X-MAGE branding. The teaser image has revealed the Hibiscus colour option for the smartphone. It will also come in Dark Black and Pure White options.

All the Mate 80 phones will bring a flat OLED display with a polished metal mid-frame and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Specs-wise, both the Mate 80 Pro Max and the Mate 80 RS will feature a dual periscope camera setup. Leaks also indicate 66W wireless charging for the smartphones.
That said, since the launch event is set for next week, we won't have to wait long before the Mate 80 series and the Mate X7 goes official. So, stay tuned for the official launch event coverage from Beebom Gadgets.
