Huawei is back in the budget smartphone arena with the launch of the Nova 14i. The latest addition to the Nova family is now available in Hong Kong and brings a large display and massive battery in a competitive price segment.

Huawei Nova 14i Specifications and Features

The Huawei Nova 14i sports a large 6.95-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a 90 Hz refresh rate and 270 Hz touch sampling rate. Colour reproduction covers 16.7 million shades, making it a rather appealing, affordable, multimedia-friendly option.

Physically, the Nova 14i measures 171.6 x 79.9 x 8.9 mm and weighs around 216 grams. The phone also uses a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.

At the heart of the Nova 14i lies the Snapdragon 680 processor, a 4G-only processor, paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. On the software front, the phone runs on EMUI 14.2 out of the box.

However, one of its biggest selling points is battery life, with the Nova 14i housing a massive 7,000mAh battery, which is slowly becoming the new normal. According to Huawei, this battery capacity can deliver up to 26 hours of continuous video playback on a full charge. There's also support for 22.5W wired fast charging.

Camera capabilities include a 50 MP main rear sensor with phase-detect autofocus, complemented by a 2 MP depth sensor, while an 8 MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. The phone also supports video capture up to 1080p.
