Under the hood, the Huawei Nova Flip S is powered by an undisclosed Kirin chipset, paired with 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage. It packs a 4,400mAh battery with 66W fast wired charging. Huawei has also included a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and claims "life water resistance" for basic splash protection.

As for photography, it is handled by a dual rear camera setup with a 50 MP wide angle lens at the helm. The secondary shooter is an 8 MP ultrawide, while the front houses a 32 MP selfie camera. Both cameras support 4K video recording and AI image stabilisation.

On the software front, the Huawei Nova Flip S runs on HarmonyOS 15.1 right out of the box, featuring multitasking layouts optimised for foldable phones. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS and NFC.

Huawei is offering the Nova Flip S at a starting price of 3,488 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 43,000) for the base 12 GB + 256 GB variant. Colour options include Sky Blue, Sakura Pink, Feather Sand Black, Star Black, Zero White and New Green.

By pricing the Nova Flip S lower than most competing flip phones, Huawei is seemingly working towards making the foldable adoption mainstream.
