The Huawei Watch Buds 2 has officially launched in China, refining the 2-in-1 smartwatch-earbuds concept that first turned heads years ago. By housing a pair of high-performance wireless earbuds directly beneath a pop-up watch face, Huawei is trying to stand out in a saturated market where innovation often feels very incremental.
Huawei Watch Buds 2 Specifications and Features
The Watch Buds 2 feature a significant upgrade in materials used, moving to a more premium aerospace-grade titanium alloy build. The watch face is a 1.5-inch AMOLED display protected by second-generation Kunlun Glass, boasting a peak brightness of 3,000 nits and ultra-slim bezels. Beneath this pop-up display, which is triggered by a physical tactile button, reside two ultra-lightweight earbuds (4 grams each).

These earbuds maintain their signature Huawei "interchangeable" design, using adaptive identification technology to automatically switch left and right audio channels regardless of which ear you place them in.
On the audio front, the integrated earbuds now feature ANC 2.0 and a bone conduction microphone for crystal-clear calls in noisy environments. The Huawei Watch Buds 2 itself runs on HarmonyOS, introducing a new "AI Health Coach" that analyses data locally to provide personalised recovery suggestions.
Health tracking is comprehensive, featuring all-day HRV tracking, heart rate rhythm irregularity alerts, sleep apnea detection and a new research-based high blood sugar risk assessment.

Despite the internal space required for the earbuds, Huawei has optimised the 410mAh battery to offer up to 3 days of overall usage, with the earbuds providing up to 4 hours of playback per charge.
