Huawei is gearing up for a major global product showcase on February 26, 2026. The brand is expected to unveil a host of new devices, including a smart band, open-ear TWS headphones, a smartphone and a smartwatch, the brand confirmed, the Watch GT Runner 2.
Huawei Watch GT Runner 2 could be for Marathoners
Announcing the arrival of the Watch GT Runner 2, Huawei has also revealed that the watch has been co-developed in partnership with Eliud Kipchoge, a renowned two-time Olympic marathon gold medalist. This marks the return of the Runner series after four long years.

The brand claims the smartwatch is specifically tailored for running enthusiasts with its exclusive Intelligent Marathon Mode. It's designed to assist runners in their training and preparation for long-distance events.
The event also promises other devices for the global market. This includes the launch of the flagship Huawei Mate 80 Pro smartphone, the Huawei Band 11 Pro and the FreeBids Pro 5 earbuds alongside a MatePad Mini tablet.
We saw Huawei launch a host of smartphones by the end of 2025, including the Huawei Mate X7 and Nova 15 series. More smartphones from the brand could arrive in Q2 2026.
Not much is known about the design and specifications of the smartwatch, but with the launch event fast approaching, more should be unveiled soon, so stay tuned.
