iQOO is gearing up to expand its flagship smartphone portfolio in China with two new releases slated for later this year. The brand is planning to launch the flagship iQOO 16 alongside the iQOO Neo 11s, and key information about both smartphones has leaked.
iQOO 16 Tipped to Feature 8,500mAh Battery
The leaks arrive fresh from tipster Digital Chat Station, who says that the iQOO 16 will reportedly be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset. He also claims that early prototypes do not feature a built-in cooling fan like most dedicated gaming smartphones, but iQOO may compensate with a huge 8,500mAh battery.

Display-wise, the phone could arrive with a 6.85-inch flat 2K display from Samsung with a 165 Hz refresh rate. On the camera front, it may arrive with a 50 MP main 1/1.3-inch sensor, accompanied by a 50 MP periscope telephoto. When it comes to software, iQOO 16 is expected to be the first to ship with OriginOS 7 out of the box with Android 17 features.
That said, another leak from DCS suggests the iQOO Neo 11s launch could be right on the horizon. The brand plans to introduce it in June 2026. While iQOO is yet to confirm the same, it could be called the iQOO Neo 11S or Neo 11 Pro and could serve as an incremental upgrade over the iQOO Neo 11 launched in China in October 2025.

Unfortunately, DCS did not share any specifications or specific improvements that the Neo 11S could bring to the table. But since it's expected to launch next month, iQOO should start teasing the smartphone very soon. We should then hear more about the specification from them and from the tipster as we inch closer to the official launch.
iQOO 15 was a smash hit globally, and iQOO 16 intends to follow in its footsteps. With Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro expected to launch later this year, the iQOO 16 could very well be one of the first smartphones to use the same. More information about the upcoming flagship should surface soon. Until then, stay tuned.
