The iQOO 16 is expected to launch later this year and ahead of it, the brand has now confirmed that the iQOO 16's display will be an upgrade from the iQOO 15. Although it will boast the same resolution, it will be more power efficient and deliver more brightness levels.
iQOO's Product Manager Wang Chen recently took to Weibo to confirm that the iQOO 16 "screen is even better". While he did not directly confirm the specifications, he hinted that the panel boasts 2K resolution, like its predecessor.

While that doesn't confirm anything about the display, previous iQOO 16 leaks give us a hint of what to expect. According to details shared by tipster Digital Chat Station, the flagship is currently being tested with a 6.85-inch 2K Samsung Display paired with a 165 Hz refresh rate, stepping up from the 144 Hz panel on the iQOO 15.
While specific luminance metrics have not yet been revealed, the new generation is expected to focus on peak brightness levels while keeping battery consumption in check.

Beyond display, the iQOO 16 could boast an excellent cooling system to complement the expected Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro processor inside. Fueling the internals could be an 8,500mAh battery coupled with 100W fast charging.
Optics-wise, recent iQOO 16 camera leaks suggest it may arrive with a 50 MP 1/1.3-inch sensor, a 50 MP periscope telephoto snapper and a 50 MP ultrawide sensor. On the software front, the phone could come with OriginOS 7 out of the box, based on Android 17.
We're yet to hear more about iQOO 16's other core specifications and launch date. However, considering the iQOO 15 launched in India in November 2026, we expect the iQOO 16 to launch around the same time this year. Prior to that, it could launch in China sometime in October.
More information about the upcoming flagship should be revealed as we inch closer to these expected launch timelines, so stay tuned.
