Targeted at mobile gamers and hardware enthusiasts, iQOO has taken the wraps off its Pad Ultra in China. Launched alongside the iQOO 16, the iQOO Pad Ultra is a compact tablet with Qualcomm's latest flagship chipset and an active cooling fan to deliver sustained performance.
iQOO Pad Ultra Features and Specifications
Talking about the display first, it's an 8.8-inch 2K 165 Hz OLED unit with 4,500 nits of peak brightness and a 93.3% screen-to-body ratio. The bezels are just 2.6 mm thick and uniform all around.
For gaming, the display boasts a 5,000 Hz touch sampling rate alongside PWM dimming to reduce eye strain. The display experience is complemented by dual asynchronous vibration motors and symmetrical dual speakers.
As for the design, the compact chassis of the tablet is made of aluminium. The back houses a camera module consisting of one rear camera and a circular LED. Sitting right below the camera unit is a grille for air intake, where the active cooling fan resides.
The power button is located at the top, while the right side hosts the volume rockers. There are vents of the same size for air exhaust. The top and bottom of the tablet boast speaker grilles, and the overall design of the Pad Ultra is quite minimal.
As for performance, the iQOO Pad Ultra packs the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage. It also boasts iQOO's Q4 gaming chip, which claims to reduce latency and deliver sustained 165 fps frame rates in certain games.
This is complemented by a whopping 23,254 mm2 heat dissipation area at the back, combined with a 12,118mm2 vapour chamber. Besides, the tablet also boasts a 30 mm active cooling fan to keep the temperatures in check.
Fueling the internals is a 9,020mAh silicon carbon battery that supports 66W charging, while the tablet remains relatively thin at 5.74 mm and light at 298 grams. Optics-wise, the rear houses a 13 MP snapper, whereas the front punch hole houses an 8 MP sensor.
Connectivity-wise, there's support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Coming to the software, the tablet comes with OriginOS 7, based on Android 17, out of the box, with features like AI recorder and Atomic Workbench.

The iQOO Pad Ultra's base variant with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage is priced at 5,999 Chinese yuan (approx. Rs 86,000).
