Itel has officially launched its A100 smartphone in India, bringing what it calls a premium-inspired design and solid everyday features to the ultra-budget segment. Priced under Rs 8,000, the Itel A100 takes design cues from the flagship OnePlus 15, while delivering core essentials like a large display, big battery and durability that caters to first-time smartphone buyers and casual users.

At first glance, the Itel A100 impresses with its flat-edge frame, squared design and refined camera module, giving it a look identical to the OnePlus 15. The design is actually quite similar to the Itel A100C which launched in India last year. The smartphone features a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS display with a 90 Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the Itel A100 runs on a Unisoc T7100 processor, paired with up to 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Photography is handled by an 8 MP primary rear camera and a 5 MP selfie shooter.
Other noteworthy touches include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Battery life gets a boost from a 5,000mAh cell, which should comfortably last a full day of typical use. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and even an IR blaster. The phone runs on Android 15 Go edition right out of the box.
