Homegrown brand Lava is prepping to launch a new smartphone in India. The Blaze AMOLED 2 5G is touted as the slimmest smartphone in its segment and will launch with specs like an AMOLED display, a 50 MP rear camera and more.
The official Lava handle on X announced the arrival of the Blaze AMOLED 2 5G smartphone. Although the post has not revealed the launch date, it does give us a glimpse into its back design.
At first glance, the design looks a lot similar to the yet-to-be-announced Apple iPhone 17 Air. However, unlike the Air, the Lava smartphone features a flat profile with minimal rounded corners.

It even has a dual rear camera setup housed within a rectangular horizontally aligned edge-to-edge camera island. It is also home to a dual-tone LED flash and the "50 Megapixel AI Camera" branding.
This confirms that the primary lens is a 50 MP shooter backed by AI-imaging features. The back panel of the device appears to be made out of plastic. However, it has an interesting floral pattern design that Lava is calling “Linea” design.
In terms of specifications, apart from the 50 MP confirmed main sensor, the device is also said to sport a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel. Lava claims that at 7.55 mm, the Blaze AMOLED 2 5G will be the thinnest smartphone in its price segment.
Speaking of price, we expect the smartphone to retail for somewhere around Rs 15,000 in India. However, we will know for sure once more details about the smartphone emerges online.
