Lava Blaze Dragon Launched in India with 50 MP Camera for Under Rs 10,000

Lava has unveiled a new budget 5G smartphone in India, the Blaze Dragon. It aims to provide a value-packed package under the sub-Rs 10,000 bracket, with features like a 120 Hz display, UFS 3.1 storage and a 50 MP camera. Lava Blaze Dragon Specifications and Features

Starting with the display, the Lava Blaze Dragon features a 6.74-inch HD+ 120 Hz IPS LCD panel with up to 450 nits of peak brightness. Lava claims that the smartphone offers an edge-to-edge panel. However, apart from the side display bezels, the smartphone features a relatively thick chin and a waterdrop notch-style selfie camera cutout.

In terms of the design, the smartphone has a plastic back with a glossy panel option as well as a matte one. There is also a dual camera setup in the top-left corner with a highly reflective camera island

Speaking of cameras, the smartphone features a 50 MP primary rear camera and an undisclosed secondary sensor. There is also a dual-tone pill-shaped LED Flash module. The selfie camera remains unknown at the time of writing.

Under the hood, the Blaze Dragon gets the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC with 4 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It also features a 5,000mAh battery with 18W USB-C charging support.

The device ships with Android 15 and there is no word regarding the software support of the device. Lava gives an almost stock Android experience with their UI and the same is true for the Blaze Dragon.

Apart from this, there is a side mounted fingerprint scanner, mono speaker and dual SIM 5G support.

Lava Blaze Dragon Price in India and Sale Date

Blaze Dragon will retail for Rs 9,999 for the single 4 GB + 128 GB variant. The device will go on sale starting August 1, 2025, from 12:00 AM IST, via Amazon and the official Lava India website. Interested buyers can avail the smartphone in the Midnight Mist and Golden Mist colour options.

Additionally, as part of its first day sale offer, the Blaze Dragon will be up for grabs at Rs 8,999. 

Going by the specifications and how the phone is priced, this could very well be one of the best phones under Rs 10,000 in India at the moment.
