Lava has officially confirmed its upcoming smartphone, the Lava Shark 2, in India. The brand has teased their next phone, highlighting its camera performance and design built on its predecessor.
With an official X post, Lava shared a picture showcasing the design of the upcoming Shark 2 with the caption "Clarity that kills the noise", alongside the text 50 MP AI triple camera.

The teaser image shows a rear camera island design reminiscent of the older iPhone Pro models. It also boasts the 50 MP AI camera branding on the island and an LED flash.
While the teaser does not reveal Shark 2's design from the front, we expect the device to be quite similar to the original Lava Shark that launched in May 2025. This includes the teardrop notch at the front and a metallic finish on the frame.

Lava has also confirmed that the Shark 2 will arrive in two colour options – Blue and Silver. We're largely unaware of the exact features the device could offer. There's no word from Lava on Shark 2's release date.
However, we expect the device to be a slight improvement over the Shark 5G and feature slightly improved specifications. For starters, the phone could feature a 120Hz HD+ IPS LCD panel, a 5,000mAh battery and 64 GB eMMC 5.1 storage.
As for its potential launch date, since Lava has already started teasing the device, we expect the Shark 2 to launch by the end of October 2025. More details about the device and its specifications should be unveiled in the coming weeks, so stay tuned to Beebom Gadgets.
