Indian smartphone brand Lava has silently launched a new smartphone in India - Lava Smart 4 Plus. Priced under Rs 10,000, the phone brings a decent mix of specs at a time when the ongoing RAM crisis is pushing phone prices higher.
Lava Smart 4 Plus Specifications and Features
The Lava Smart 4 Plus features a 6.75-inch IPS LCD HD+ display with a 90 Hz refresh rate. There's also a single bottom-firing speaker to make use of when streaming content. Users can also take to the 3.5mm headphone jack as an added convenience.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the budget Unisoc 9863A processor, paired with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. There is also the option to increase the onboard storage up to 512 GB via a microSD card.

On the software front, the Lava Smart 4 Plus comes with Android 15 Go Edition with a relatively bloatware-free skin on top. However, there is no clear indication of any long-term software support from the brand.
The phone also comes with a 13 MP main rear camera with a secondary auxiliary lens. For selfies, there's a 5 MP shooter at the front. There's also a modest 5,000mAh battery capacity with 10W USB-C charging support.
As for the rest of the details, the Lava Smart 4 Plus comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, FM Radio support, dual SIM 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and a USB-C 2.0 port.
