Lava has today launched the Storm Play and the Storm Lite smartphones in India. Starting from just Rs 7,999, both devices share quite a few similarities on the specifications front. With that said, let's take a look at the detailed specifications, pricing, and availability details of the devices.
Lava Storm Play and Storm Lite Specifications and Features
Talking about the processor first, the Storm Play ships with the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 SoC. Meanwhile, the toned-down Storm Lite gets the Dimensity 6400 chipset. Thanks to these chipsets, both budget phones get 5G connectivity.
Furthermore, the Lava Storm Play is equipped with 6 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. On the other hand, the Storm Lite features 4 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64 GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

Both the Lava Storm Play and the Storm Lite feature a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This display is wrapped within a plastic mid-frame and back panel. The only difference is that while the Storm Lite comes with a glossy finish, the Storm Play has been launched with a sort of dual-tone design with a thin strip running across the secondary camera vertically.
Both devices in the top-left corner feature a dual camera setup and a single-tone LED flash. The dual camera module is home to a 50 MP Sony IMX752 sensor and a 2 MP secondary lens (only for the Storm Play). At the front, there is a single 8 MP centre-aligned camera housed within a waterdrop-style notch.
Meanwhile, software-wise, both devices run on Android 15, and Lava claims a "no bloatware clean interface" experience. However, only one major software update has been promised for both devices. In terms of connectivity, both phones feature Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi support, GPS, and a hybrid dual SIM setup with microSD card support.

There's also the trusty old 3.5mm headphone jack on both phones. For security, the phones sport a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a single bottom-firing speaker, and an IP64 rating.
