Motorola's upcoming budget devices, the Moto G 2026 and Moto G Play 2026, have leaked. The renders and leaks point toward a typical Motorola design language and reveal a few key specifications of the devices.
The renders arrive courtesy of Android Headlines, where the Moto G 2026 and G Play 2026's designs are visible from all angles. The overall design is quite similar to what Moto delivered with its mid-range and upper mid-range devices in 2025.
The displays on both Motorola phones are flat with non-uniform bezels and absurdly prominent chins as per 2025 standards. The volume rockers and power buttons are located on the right side, while the left houses the SIM card tray. The bottom houses a speaker, USB Type-C and the most beloved 3.5mm headphone jack.

The back panel on both devices is plastic with a leather texture, which is also found across most Moto devices released earlier this year. Both phones lack a camera island as the plastic back slightly bumps and runs over the cameras for a seamless look.

As for the specifications, both the Moto G and G Play 2026 could be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6300. The G 2026 is expected to come with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB UFS 2.2 storage in the base variant. The G Play 2026 may start from 64 GB of onboard storage.
Both phones could feature a 5,200mAh battery, but while the G 2026 may charge at 30W, the G Play 2026 could top out at 18W. The display on both could be a 6.7-inch HD+ 120Hz IPS LCD unit protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass 3.
Another major difference between the two could be the main and front cameras, where the Moto G 2026 could feature a 50 MP main and 32 MP front cameras, whereas the Moto G Play could settle for a 32 MP main and 8 MP front cameras. Both are expected to arrive with Android 16 out of the box.
The launch timeline of the devices is currently unknown, but considering the Moto G 2025 and G Play 2025 arrived in January 2025, their successors could arrive at around the same time.
