Motorola has expanded its Moto G lineup with the launch of the Moto g17 and Moto g17 power. The phones have launched as mid-range offerings with a focus on battery life, reliable performance and upgraded cameras.

Moto g17 and Moto g17 Power Specifications and Features

Both the Moto g17 and Moto g17 Power are powered by MediaTek's Helio G81 Extreme chipset, paired with up to 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. There's also RAM Boost to virtually increase the RAM, as well as microSD card support for storage expansion.

The phones feature a 6.72-inch Full-HD+ LCD display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and high brightness levels of outdoor visibility. Motorola continues its Pantone-curated design approach, offering leather-inspired finishes in multiple colour options across regions.

Camera hardware sees a notable upgrade this year as well, with both models using a 50 MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor, paired with a 5 MP ultra-wide. Meanwhile, selfies are handled by a 32 MP front camera. Motorola also includes AI-powered photo enhancements and Google Photos editing tools out of the box.

The key difference between the Moto g17 and g17 Power lies in battery capacity. The Moto g17 Power packs a massive 6,000mAh battery with 30W TurboPower fast charging, while the standard Moto g17 comes with a 5,200mAh battery and 18W charging.

Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, face unlock and Moto Secure privacy features. Out of the box, both phones ship with Android 15 out of the box.

Moto g17 and Moto g17 Power Pricing

The Moto g17 and g17 Power are launching first in select EMEA markets. The Moto g17 starts at around 149.99 pounds (approximately Rs 19,000) in the UK for the base variant.

Meanwhile, the Moto g17 Power is priced higher at around 229 euros (approximately Rs 25,000) in Europe, justified by its larger battery and faster charging.

Sadly, Motorola hasn't revealed anything about the India launch of the Moto g17 and g17 Power. However, since the Moto g15 and Moto g15 Power didn't make it to India, we don't have a lot of hope in this regard.
