Hot on the heels of the recent Motorola Edge 70 Fusion leaks, the brand's upcoming g series budget phone has now surfaced online. High-quality Moto g17 renders have leaked, giving us a clear look at the brand's next contender in the sub Rs 15,000 segment.
Moto G17 Design and Colours Leaked
The high-quality renders arrive courtesy of YTECHB, revealing that the Moto G17 will stick closely to the design language of existing Motorola phones. The renders showcase a phone that is very similar to its predecessor, the Moto g15. It features the same back design and noticeably thick, asymmetrical bezels, which are common in budget Moto phones.

The smartphone's chassis looks like it's made of polycarbonate. The SIM card slot is on the left, while the right side hosts the power button and a volume rocker. The top hosts a 3.5 mm headphone jack with a Dolby Atmos branding, while the bottom hosts a microphone, USB-C port and a speaker grille.
The back appears to boast a triple-camera array, with the primary sensor being an unknown 50 MP LYTIA snapper. There's also an LED flash on top of the module. The back has the same leather texture that's found on most budget Motorola smartphones.
While the Motorola design feels repetitive and similar to the Moto g15, the colour palette is different this time. The Moto g17 renders show it in three Pantone-validated finishes, namely, Evening Blue, Alaskan Blue and Mauve (official name unknown).

As for the specifications, the Moto g17 is expected to boast a 6.72-inch display, 8 GB RAM and up to 256 GB storage in the top variant. Since the g17 is an affordable offering, we can expect more affordable entry-level variants with 4 GB or 6 GB RAM. We don't have any information about its processor at the time of writing this.
While Motorola is yet to announce a specific release date, the appearance of these renders alongside a recently spotted guide page for the smartphone suggests an imminent launch. We expect the smartphone to launch in the next few months, so stay tuned.
