Moto g35 5G 8 GB RAM Variant Goes Official in India

Motorola has launched a new variant of its budget Moto g35 5G mobile phone in India. The new model comes with 8 GB of RAM, joining the original 4 GB variant that launched last year.

Moto g35 5G can be grabbed for under Rs 11,000

Motorola announced via a Flipkart banner that the 8 GB + 128 GB variant of the Moto g35 5G will go on sale starting October 6, 2025, at 12:00 PM IST for an introductory price of Rs 11,999. The listed maximum retail price is Rs 15,499.

However, buyers can score the device on Flipkart for Rs 10,999 with a flat Rs 1,000 off on HDFC bank credit cards. Flipkart is also offering an additional 5% cashback for Axis Bank and SBI cardholders, alongside EMI options.

Other Moto g35 key specs remain the same

For those unaware, Motorola launched the Moto g35 5G around a year ago with a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It's powered by a Unisoc T760 SoC, paired with (now) 8 GB of RAM.

The smartphone is equipped with dual rear cameras, with the primary being a 50 MP wide and the secondary being an 8 MP ultrawide. There's also a 16 MP front-facing camera for selfies. Powering the internals is a 5,000mAh battery with 20W charging.

The Moto g35 5G launched with Android 14 out of the box and will receive Android 15. Unfortunately, Android 15 was its last update, but it still has two more years of security patches remaining. Some of the other miscellaneous features include Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance.

For those with a strict budget of under Rs 12,000, the Moto g35 5G could seem a bit outdated. For roughly the same price, Poco M7 Plus arguably offers better value for money. Besides, if you're looking for the best phones under Rs 15,000, there are tons of better options that overshadow the g35. So, you might want to check it all out before making a decision.
