Nothing sub-brand CMF teased two new products with its usual Pokémon-themed teasers. Most users initially jumped the gun, assuming that one of the Pokémon was the upcoming CMF Phone 3 Pro smartphone. Well, they could not have been more wrong, as CMF has confirmed there will be no Phone 3 Pro in 2026.
CMF Phone 3 Pro Postponed Indefinitely Due to RAM Crisis
In a public statement on X detailing the brand's roadmap, Nothing and CMF co-founder Akis Evangelidis announced that the brand has "decided not to launch a new CMF phone this year". Put simply, the CMF Phone 3 Pro won't be arriving this year due to the ongoing RAM crisis.

Akis says that the current RAM and storage pricing have made it impossible for CMF to build a phone that could feel like a genuinely good successor without drastically inflating the retail price. And therefore, rather than releasing an overpriced iterative update, the team has opted to hold off until the market stabilises.
That said, Akis has asked fans to look forward to other product launches this year, including entirely new categories. More about them will be revealed soon. He signed off, hinting that Nothing is prepping a new phone and more about the same will be revealed soon. Most predict that it could be an RCB-themed Nothing Phone (4a) Pro.
With that out of the way, this news could be genuinely frustrating for all CMF phone fans and mid-range smartphone aficionados who were hoping the brand would launch a decent smartphone amidst the chaos in the smartphone space. However, not launching a new phone seems like the right move, considering the following the brand has built with its bang for buck smartphones.
By not releasing a smartphone for the sake of it, CMF gets to save its reputation, and by being upfront about it, the brand still keeps the excitement around the upcoming products launching soon. For more information on future Nothing and CMF products, stay tuned.
