Earlier today, the Nothing Headphone 1 Pro details leaked and now the brand may have just officially confirmed that the headphones are indeed arriving soon.

The official Nothing X account shared a close-up image captioned simply, "Ready?" The shot shows the product in a black colourway with a dark, ribbed, textured surface which resembles a grooved audio driver housing or ear-cup padding.

Additionally, we see a plain block of deep red in the bottom corner, which is a design element that's consistent across Nothing devices.

No product name or launch date accompanies the teaser post, but given the timing of it and community chatter, it could very likely be the Nothing Headphone 1 Pro.

Just over a week ago, a separate Nothing teaser sparked speculation about a first Nothing-branded smartwatch, so a degree of caution is warranted here too. That said, the timing, styling and the proximity to a leaked September 29 launch date make the Headphone 1 Pro more likely to be the product.

Apart from that, leaks hint at the following:

  • The Nothing Headphone 1 Pro could upgrade to a triple-driver array in comparison to the Headphone 1's dual-driver setup
  • Audio tuning could be handled by Metropolis Studios, the London recording facility known for its work on albums by artists like Adele and Coldplay, which is a switch from the KEF Audio tuning on the Nothing Headphone 1
  • Upgraded ANC and connectivity with Bluetooth 6.1 support and a ten-microphone setup for ANC (up from six mics on the original)
  • Hi-Res Audio and LDAC support over both Bluetooth and the 3.5mm jack, plus a flat EQ studio mode and head-tracked spatial audio
  • A shift to an aluminium construction, up from the plastic and aluminium mid-plate design of the current model
  • Battery life could be rated at 60 hours per charge, which is a step down from the 80 hours on the standard Headphone 1 and the 135 hours on the budget Headphone a
  • Nothing Headphone 1 Pro could arrive in white and black colourways
  • Nothing Headphone 1 Pro price could be set at $399 (approximately Rs 38,500), which is about $100 more than the Headphone 1's launch price.

If the teaser Nothing just published is indeed for the Headphone 1 Pro, an official announcement with a firm reveal date should follow within the next couple of weeks. So, stay tuned for all the updates.
