The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro launched in India back in March 2026 and has since been a popular choice for those looking for good all-rounders in the segment. However, at launch, the phone didn't make complete use of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4's capabilities and was capped at 4K @ 30 FPS video recording. Now, the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro is finally getting an update to fix that.
Nothing Phone (4a) Pro May 2026 Update: What's New
We checked our Nothing Phone (4a) Pro for an update and it received a 377 MB update, which brings 4K @ 60 FPS video recording to the main and telephoto cameras. Additionally, going by the changelog, the update also brings "enhanced camera stability for smoother video zoom and time-lapse experience," making this a rather camera-focused update.

Moreover, the new Nothing Phone (4a) update also brings the May 2026 security patch. Other general improvements and bug fixes include an optimised maximum font size to prevent text from overlapping the UI, better compatibility with wearables and an overall better system stability.
Interested users can get the latest update by heading over to Settings -> System -> System Updates -> Check for update.
