The OnePlus N6 launched in India recently as the brand's most affordable smartphone this year. Now, it looks like the brand plans to launch an even more economical phone, as it has started teasing the OnePlus N6x India launch.
OnePlus N6x Teased To Launch Soon in India
A dedicated OnePlus N6x microsite is now live on the Amazon India website and it confirms that the phone is "coming soon". This also suggests that the OnePlus N6x will be exclusively sold via Amazon.
OnePlus has not shared any official details or clues regarding the new phone, but we believe it is going to sit below the OnePlus N6 in terms of pricing.
For context, OnePlus has historically used the alphabet suffix in smartphone naming to denote a sub-tier product in the same lineup. A recent example is the OnePlus Turbo 6 and the OnePlus Turbo 6X, where "Turbo 6X" is a toned-down "Turbo 6".
Similarly, the OnePlus 15T is a compact and subdued alternative to the OnePlus 15. Hence, the OnePlus N6x is more than likely to launch at a lower price point than the OnePlus N6. Given that the OnePlus N6 launched in India for Rs 22,999, the OnePlus N6x could start from under Rs 20,000.
OnePlus N6x Specifications (Expected)
While OnePlus has not revealed any further details, reliable tipster Yogesh Brar claims that the OnePlus N6x will offer "familiar specs" as those of the OnePlus N6.
So, both OnePlus phones could share key details like the display, battery, RAM and storage, camera and more. However, they might bring subtle differences, such as in the processor, front camera, design and more.
There is also the possibility that the N6x will launch as a 4G phone to keep costs down. The phone could also bring 64 GB of base storage instead of 128 GB like the OnePlus N6.
