OnePlus is collaborating with India's local electronics manufacturer Optiemus to produce more IoT products in India. This partnership is not only aimed at bringing more products to the subcontinent, but to also significantly contribute to the Make in India campaign.
The OnePlus-Optiemus partnership doesn't come as a surprise, mostly because OnePlus sees India as one of its biggest markets. The first product of this collaboration is already out, and it's the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z3, a neckband earphone completely manufactured in India.

Optiemus Electronics will provide dedicated support to increase BOM-level (bill of materials) to reduce manufacturing costs and enhance the supply chain.
For the unknown, Optiemus Electronics is headquartered in Noida, India and already manufactures for brands like Truke, Zen, Jio, Primebook, Noise, and Asus. By targeting local production, OnePlus can not only put out more products in the market but also make them affordable.
At OnePlus, India has always been at the heart of our journey. Our partnership with OEL to manufacture IoT products locally reflects our strong commitment to Project Starlight. This collaboration is not just about technology—it’s about empowering local communities, creating meaningful innovation, and bringing smarter, more connected experiences to our India community.
— Robin Liu, OnePlus India CEO
Ashok Gupta, the Executive Chairman of Optiemus group, highlighted that this collaboration marks a significant step in their journey and will help shape the future of electronics manufacturing in India.
Our vision is to become the most trusted and valued electronics manufacturer. Partnering with OnePlus is a significant milestone in this journey, as we unite to co-create a future defined by innovation and excellence. We excel at turning ideas into reality, and this collaboration enables us to manufacture high-quality IoT products. Together, we will explore new frontiers and remain dedicated to shaping the future of electronics manufacturing in India.
— Ashok Gupta, Optiemus Group Chairman
India is one of the ideal market to manufacture and sell smartphone accessories and IoT devices, especially truly-wireless earbuds. The OnePlus-Optiemus partnership should enrich the existing market with more products, giving users the choice to choose the best bang for buck products.
For those unaware, OnePlus has an active collaboration in Foxconn to manufacture phones in India. The firm is expected to launch new mid-range devices, the OnePlus Nord 5 series, soon alongside new truly-wireless earbuds, the OnePlus Buds 4.
