OnePlus Turbo 6 Series Confirmed for January Launch with Massive Batteries

After a series of leaks and rumours, OnePlus has officially announced its upcoming OnePlus Turbo 6 series, and it will launch in China very soon. The lineup consists of two smartphones – OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V, and both are aimed at delivering great endurance and performance at an affordable price.

OnePlus Turbo 6 series will feature Snapdragon processors

OnePlus has announced via its official Weibo account that the OnePlus Turbo 6 series will be unveiled in China on January 8, 2026, at 7:00 PM CST (or 4:30 PM IST). Besides design, the brand also revealed that the Turbo 6 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, while the Turbo 6V will boast a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor.

Display-wise, both the smartphones boast 6.8-inch 1.5K displays, but while the OnePlus Turbo 6 boasts a 165 Hz unit, the one on the Turbo 6V could be a 144 Hz unit. Both smartphones also get great durability with IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance,

As for the battery, the OnePlus Turbo 6 series features a massive 9,000mAh battery with 80W charging and 27W reverse wireless charging. The camera setup, on the other hand, includes a 50 MP primary snapper and an 8 MP ultrawide lens. There's also a 32 MP snapper for selfies.

The OnePlus Turbo 6 will be available in Black, Silver and Turquoise, while the OnePlus Turbo 6V comes in Black and Silver. Both smartphones feature what OnePlus calls a 3D holographic engraving that reflects light from an angle. They also feature a unique back texture on the Silver variant.

With the China launch now confirmed, we don't have much information about the OnePlus Turbo series' arrival in India. However, rumours suggest that the Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V may arrive in the subcontinent as the OnePlus Nord 6 and Nord CE 6. More information should be revealed as we inch closer to launch, so stay tuned.
