Oppo has launched a new budget-friendly smartphone under the "A" series umbrella – the Oppo A5i Pro 5G. The device targets the price-conscious Malaysian audience with specs like an IPS LCD display, 6,000mAh battery and more. Here are all the details.
Oppo A5i Pro 5G Specifications and Features
Starting with the display, the A5i Pro 5G features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ 120 Hz IPS LCD panel with 1,000 nits of high brightness and Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
The display is encased within a 7.99mm plastic body, which is also protected by an official IP65 rating and MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability certification. The smartphone weighs only 194 grams.
On the inside, the smartphone is powered by the midrange MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. Users can pair the smartphone with 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It also supports microSD card expansion of up to 2 TB.
There is also a 6,000mAh battery under the hood to fuel the smartphone. It comes with a 45W fast USB-C charging support. Additionally, the Oppo A5i Pro 5G ships with Android 15-based ColorOS 15. Oppo is backing the device with two years of software upgrades and three years of security updates.
Now, talking about the cameras, there is a dual rear camera setup which houses a 50 MP main sensor and a 2 MP monochrome lens. At the front, there is an 8 MP selfie camera.
Apart from this, the smartphone brings a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, mono speaker, Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band Wi-Fi, dual SIM 5G, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB-C 2.0 port.

Oppo has made the A5i Pro 5G available at 799 Malaysian rupiah (approximately Rs 16,500) for the single 8 GB + 256 GB model. The device is listed on the Oppo Malaysia website and is available to purchase in the Midnight Purple and Breeze Blue colourways.
