Oppo A6 and Oppo A6 5G Silently Announced

Oppo has silently listed two new smartphones on their website – Oppo A6 and Oppo A6 5G. Both phones are equipped with a big LCD display, a 50 MP main camera and a substantially large battery. Here is a detailed breakdown of their specifications, pricing and availability information.

Oppo A6 and Oppo A6 5G Specifications and Features

The newly launched Oppo A6 and Oppo A6 5G share almost identical specs in every department, except for the processor and connectivity. For instance, both feature the same 6.75-inch flat LCD display with an HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel is rated for 1,125 nits of high brightness.

Under the hood, the Oppo A6 gets the Snapdragon 685 chipset, whereas the Oppo A6 5G rocks the Dimensity 6300 processor. Both phones come with up to 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. They also support up to 1 TB micro-SD card expansion. Software-wise, there is ColorOS 15 based on Android 15 out of the box.

In terms of cameras, Oppo A6 and Oppo A6 5G feature the exact setup at both the front and back. They come with a dual rear camera array where the primary lens is a 50 MP unit. It is joined by a 2 MP monochrome sensor. There is an 8 MP selfie camera on both phones. 

Battery-wise, both are treated with the same 7,000mAh capacity and 45W fast USB-C charging support. They can even deliver 33W PPS charging and 15W reverse wired charging.

Other than that, both are IP64 rated and come with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a single bottom-firing speaker. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, dual SIM support, GPS and USB-C 2.0 port.

As for their pricing and availability, there is no word from Oppo on that front yet. Once up for sale, interested folks will be able to score the Oppo A6 in Sapphire Blue and Aurora Gold colourways. The Oppo A6 5G will be available in the Sakura Pink and Sapphire Blue hues.
