A few months after the Oppo Enco Air5 Pro launch in its home market, Oppo has launched a slightly more budget truly-wireless earphone in the Air5 series. The brand is calling it the Enco Air 5s, and it brings large drivers and a host of features at a price that doesn't break the bank.
Oppo Enco Air 5s Specifications and Features
Starting with the design, the Enco Air5s look a little different from their bigger Enco Air 5 Pro, which launched recently. While Oppo has retained the pebble-like design, the Air 5s are built and open vertically, much like the Pixel Buds Pro. The earbuds themselves are a tad bit smaller and boast a semi-in-ear design, much like the wired earpods.
The earbuds stand true to their name by being extremely lightweight, weighing just 3.9 grams per earbud. Oppo markets it as a boon for those who listen in longer sessions. The colour options include Midnight Black, Starlight Purple and Moonlight White. They're also IP55-rated for protection against dust and water.
Coming to the audio, the Enco Air5s feature 12mm dynamic drivers with spatial audio and adaptive sound tuning. There are three microphones on offer in total, which work with the built-in AI voice processing algorithm so that the other party can hear clearly. The supported audio codecs include AAC and SBC.
Connectivity-wise, there's Bluetooth 6.0 on offer with features like Audio Sharing and Dual Device Connectivity. The earbuds also feature touch controls to aid in adjusting volume and triggering the on-device assistant. The Enco Air5s supports both Android and iOS.
When it comes to battery life, each earbud boasts a 40.5 mAh battery, and the case houses a 530mAh cell. They're rated to last for 6 hours with noise cancellation and a total of 30 hours with the case, which can be extended to 48 hours with the noise reduction algorithm off.
Oppo Enco Air 5s Price in China and Availability
To reiterate, the Enco Air 5s arrive in three colours – Midnight Black, Starlight Purple and Moonlight White. They're priced at 299 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 4,200) and are now officially available on the Oppo China Shop.
