Back in October 2025, Oppo introduced its latest Android tablet, the Pad 5 in China. While it is yet to get an official global launch, it looks like India is also going to get the new tablet. A new BIS listing of the Oppo Pad 5 has hinted on the same.
Oppo Pad 5 BIS listing indicates India launch
The listing was first sighted and reported by tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore on X. It has revealed an Oppo tablet with the OPD2503 model number. It will be manufactured locally by Oppo in Uttar Pradesh, India, by Bhagwati Products Limited, according to the listing. As per the tipster, we are looking at the Oppo Pad 5.

For those unaware, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is the official governing body responsible for standardising, marking and quality certifying goods before they are officially introduced in the Indian market. Every electronic device that launches in the country has to pass BIS certification before it can go live.
So, the appearance of the Oppo Pad 5 in BIS can only mean one thing – an imminent India launch. If true, this will be an interesting move from Oppo since the Oppo Pad 5 will become the brand's first proper performance-focused Android tablet in India.

So far, Oppo has launched only budget-focused tablets in India. The new Oppo Pad SE in India is a good example of that. We already have OnePlus bringing its top-tier tablets to the market with OxygenOS. So, with the Pad 5, Oppo will enter the premium tablet segment in India as well and fans will get to experience the brand's take on ColorOS for tablets.
As for the Pad 5's specifications, since it launched already in China, expect the Indian unit to ship with the following specs:
- 12.1-inch 3K 144Hz LCD display
- MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor
- Android 16-based ColorOS 16
- 8MP rear main camera
- 8MP selfie camera
- 10165mAh battery with 67W fast USB-C charging
That said, there is no confirmation from Oppo yet that the Pad 5 will launch in India. However, since the BIS listing has popped up, expect to hear an official confirmation soon. The tablet could see an India launch by the first half of 2026. We will be sure to keep everyone posted on the details.
