Summary

  • Poco Pad M1 has suffered a massive specs and price leak ahead of launch.
  • The tablet is said to feature a 12.1-inch 120 Hz IPS LCD display, 12,000mAh battery and HyperOS 2 update.
  • It is expected to launch in Europe for 349 Euros (approximately Rs 36,100).

After launching the Poco Pad back in 2024, it looks like it is now time for the Poco Pad M1. While the brand has not confirmed the same officially, a new leak has spilt the beans on the upcoming tablet entirely.

Poco Pad M1 is heading soon to Europe with a massive battery

Tech publication YTECHB exclusively reported on the specifications, design and pricing of the Poco Pad M1. The information was subsequently shared by a known X tipster, Sudhansu Ambhore. Based on the shared details, it looks like Poco is planning to keep a familiar design with the Pad M1.

For instance, it retains a similar flat profile as that of the Poco Pad 5G, with a matte back and flat frame. Even the power button and volume button placement on the Pad M1 is identical to that of the 2024 model. However, the single camera and the LED flash at the back now have a pill-shaped deco instead of the floating lens design on the Pad 5G. The leak claims that the Pad M1 will be available in Dark Blue and Gray colour options.

Talking about the Pad M1's specifications, it is said to share the same 12.1-inch 2.5K 120 Hz IPS LCD display as that of the Pad 5G. However, the performance is getting a boost with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. In fact, it could become the first Android tablet to sport this chipset.

The cameras also remain the same with an 8 MP front and an 8 MP back camera. However, there are big improvements when it comes to the battery capacity. It is now up from 10,000mAh to a massive 12,000mAh cell. However, the charging speed interestingly, remains the same at 33W.

Aside from that, the Poco Pad M1 is reportedly shipping with HyperOS 2 based on Android 15 out of the box. It is also getting the quad speaker treatment, IP53 rating and Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 support. On the dimensions front, it will retain the same thickness as that of the Pad 5G at 7.5mm. However, the bigger battery will add to the weight, taking it up to 610 grams from 568 grams on the Pad 5G.

Lastly, pricing-wise, the Poco Pad M1 will allegedly cost 349 Euros (approximately Rs 36,100) for the 8 GB + 256 GB model. Given that the Pad 5G launched in India for Rs 23,999 expect a similar price tag for the Pad M1 when it will finally reach the country.
